Consumed- Chapter 2

Alex returned an hour later, dressed in blue jeans, a red tank top and red, heeled sandals. She glanced around the formal dining room. A buffet style dinner was spread out on the ornate oak dining table. A small crowd of men had gathered at the bar, located in the far cornet of the room. There he is, she thought, God, he's gorgeous.

J.D. stood with his back to her. Alex's eyes traveled the length of his body. She took in his light denim shirt, dark jeans, and brown cowboy boots. Her eyes traveled slowly upwards. He has a nice butt. A smile formed on her red lips. I wonder if . . . As if sensing her thoughts, J.D. turned. Their eyes locked. A blush touched her cheeks. J.D. simply nodded.

A dull roar of feminine voices drew her attention away from J.D. Alex rushed towards the kitchen door and pushed it open. Women filled every nook and cranny of the seemingly large kitchen. A redhead wearing a red flannel shirt, jeans and black cowboy boots met her at the granite counter.

"Lisa." Alex let out a sigh, "Am I glad to see you."

"Did you see J.D. out there?" Lisa whispered, a smile twitched at the corners of her mouth. "He's quite enamored with you."

"Enamored? You've been reading those romance novels again haven't you?"

"Don't worry. J.D. is a gentleman. He won't mention it if you won't. All though it's not everyday that one sees a friend's sister naked."

"I wasn't naked."

Lisa cleared her throat loudly. No one noticed. She put two fingers in her mouth and whistled. The piercing noise silenced the chattering women. Everyone turned to stare.

"Ladies, I would like you all to meet my sister-in-law, Alex Spencer. She's visiting from Atlanta."

Lisa introduced one woman after another. Names began to blur together in Alex's mind. She gratefully accepted the beer Lisa offered her.

"So how do all of you know each other?" Alex took a drink of her beer.

A tall, brunette spoke up, "They all work together."

"For Hamilton Lumber." Lisa added.

Alex nearly choked. Coughing uncontrollably, she held up a hand to indicate she was okay. Alex took a deep breath. "As in J.D. Hamilton?"

"Yep, one and the same." Lisa grinned.

Rob's boss. Of all the people. . .

"Hey Lisa," Rob called from the other room, "Where do you want us to put the food?"

Lisa and the other ladies rolled their eyes. "Poker time." they said in unison.

Alex laughed and relaxed a little.

* * * * *

"Wait," Lisa held out her hands, "I have a new card table in the office."

Alex smiled as the group of men slowly returned the half eaten trays of sandwiches, chips and vegetables to the dining table. J.D. grinned at her. She smiled back, remembering her fantasy from the shower. Alex glanced away just in time to see Rob and a tall, black haired man lugging a rather large table into the living room. She shook her head as the men settled into their poker game and the women merged into the great room, chattering away. She hated this kind of party. All the women talked about relationship troubles, some great deal at the mall, kids and sometimes sex. The men did their thing to see who was best at what they did. Whatever that was. Well, when in Rome . . . besides, she needed to stay as far away from J.D. as possible. Alex tossed her empty beer bottle in the trash and grabbed another bottle from the bar before heading to the great room.

"You're single, right?" the tall, brunette asked.

"Yes, why?" Alex asked suspiciously. Not another matchmaker.

"It's been so long since any of us were single. We were wondering if sex is amazing every time."

Alex's hand froze in mid-air with beer bottle still unopened.

"You know," the brunette smiled, "because each partner is new and exciting."

"Jessie!" Lisa said. "You make it sound like Alex just sleeps with whoever!"

Alex smiled. "You're asking the wrong person. The only 'partner' I've had in the last five years requires batteries."

A young, blonde on the sofa spewed her drink across the room.

"You okay, Sarah?" Lisa asked.

Sarah ignored the question. Her eyes wide, she whispered, "You mean, you use a ... a...."

"Vibrator?" Alex asked, "On occasion."

"I could never. I mean, I would be too embarrassed to even go into the store."

"Well, when you really need to relieve some tension there's nothing like it. Unless, of course, you do it yourself." Alex twisted the top off her beer and took a swig. The whole room had gone silent. That uncomfortable type of silence. Alex was thankful for the quiet roar of males voices coming for the living room.

Looking at the appalled faces of the women around her, Alex downed the rest of her beer.

"You're telling me none of you has ever?"

They all shook their heads.

"I've thought about it." Lisa admitted, "But I've never been able to do it."

"Well, as a single woman, it's a bit safer than trying to find a decent man just for a roll in the hay." Alex looked down at the empty bottle in her hand. "Excuse me just a moment."

She made her way to the bar and froze. There he stood, J.D. Hamilton. Lisa said he was a gentleman, so let's see. Alex grabbed her third beer of the night. Maybe I should pace myself.

"So what's safer?" the deep voice sent ripples of delight up her spine.

Alex looked up sharply. His eyes were fixed on the poker game in the adjacent living room.

"s-s-sorry?"

He shot her a quick glance. "I heard you say that it's safer than trying to find a decent man. What's safer?"

Alex smiled. "Honestly?"

J.D. nodded.

"Tell me what J.D. stands for and I'll tell you."

He turned to look at her. His heated gaze seemed to melt the clothes from her body.

"Johnathan Douglas. Most people call me J.D."

Alex stared at his lips. I could kiss him. He's close enough. And those lips look so soft. She felt a dampness between her legs.

"You're turn." he prompted. "What's easier than finding a good man?"

Alex licked her dry lips. "Satisfying yourself."

He raised a questioning eyebrow.

"Using a vibrator, masterbating, that sort of thing."

"You're certainly not shy, are you?"

"I'm a grown woman." Her breasts ached for his touch.

Johnathan raked his eyes over the swell of her breasts and back to her shining eyes. "You definitely are." Reaching out a hand, he twirled a strand of blond hair around his finger. "When was the last time you had a man in your bed?"

"Five years." Alex pulled the strand from his fingers and tucked it behind her ear.

"Why so long?" he leaned closer.

Heat enveloped them both, as if waiting for the one tiny spark to ignite the fire raging within.

"Nasty divorce. Long story."

"Do you know how beautiful you are?" his breath caught in his throat.

"I . . ."

Johnathan placed a finger on her soft, full lips, "Shh. I haven't been able to take my eyes off of you all night. Why do you think I'm standing here instead of playing cards?"

Alex resisted the urge to pull his finger into her mouth and suck on it. Emerald eyes locked with smoldering brown.

"Hey J.D." Rob yelled from the poker table, "are you going to play cards or make out with my sister?"

Alex felt herself blush. Johnathan tilted his mouth. His eyes darkened as he considered the idea of sitting Alex on the bar and making her cry out as he drove is hard dick into her sweet wetness.

"Well?" Rob yelled.

"I'm thinking." Johnathan's smile deepened as Alex's face turned a deep shade of red.

A roar of laughter erupted from the poker table.

Johnathan's breath was hot against her ear, "Perhaps next time you pleasure yourself, I can watch."

Looking deep into his heated gaze, Alex smiled, "If you keep looking at me like that then I'll cum right here.
